Beverly Vista 5th grade teacher Kris Milliken recently took students on a field trip to UCLA where they received a campus tour.  “By showing the students around a university campus and continually teaching them about the benefits of going to college, I am hopeful that this field trip will serve as added motivation for the children to one day pursue higher education,” Milliken said.

Beverly Vista Middle School students traveled to Jerusalem, Israel to celebrate the Bar Mitzvah of their friend, Bryson Ochman, but made sure to bring along their copy of the Courier for reading material. The Westside Guild of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) held its annual Luncheon of Hope on Tuesday at The Beverly Wilshire. Evolutionary Biology – Sophia Goldberg, is attending The 7th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Evolutionary Developmental Biology in Galway, Ireland

Sophia Goldberg, who is a graduate of the class of 2018 from Beverly Hills High and will be attending Princeton in the fall, is attending The 7th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Evolutionary Developmental Biology in Galway, Ireland. Sophia will present the research she worked on at Cal State Northridge in Professor de Bellard labatory on first phases of the evolution of the nervous system in turtles. Sophia has been working in her lab since last summer while a student at Beverly.
